ClearCorrect Post-Op Instructions
Congratulations on starting your ClearCorrect journey! Following these post-treatment instructions will help ensure optimal results and keep your aligners in great condition.
Wear Your Aligners as Directed
- Wear your aligners for at least 22 hours a day, removing them only for eating, drinking anything other than water and oral hygiene.
- Follow the timeline provided for changing aligners, typically every one to two weeks.
Caring for Your Aligners
- Clean your aligners daily with lukewarm water and a soft toothbrush or the recommended cleaning solution.
- Avoid using hot water, as it can warp the aligners.
- Always store aligners in their case when not in use to prevent loss or damage.
Managing Discomfort
- Some discomfort is normal when you begin wearing a new set of aligners. This is a sign your teeth are moving.
- Use over-the-counter pain relievers if needed and stick to the recommended wear schedule to minimize discomfort.
Eating and Drinking
- Remove aligners before eating or drinking anything other than water to prevent staining or damaging the aligners.
- Brush your teeth after eating and before reinserting your aligners to maintain oral hygiene and prevent trapped food particles.
Oral Hygiene
- Brush and floss your teeth at least twice a day to maintain healthy gums and teeth during treatment.
- Use fluoride toothpaste and consider a mouthwash to ensure thorough cleaning.
Follow-Up Appointments
- Attend all scheduled checkups to monitor your progress and make adjustments if necessary.
- Contact our dentists if you experience significant discomfort, damage to your aligners or if they no longer fit properly.
